Wedding venues, department by department
Couples choose their venue long before their videographer. That makes sense: everything else follows from it. What is less well known is how much the venue also shapes the film: the light on faces, the clarity of the speeches, the number of settings available for a couple's session, the very rhythm of the day.
This section gathers the reception venues I know from spending a full day there, camera in hand. For each one, I describe what it means in practice once filming starts. It is information neither brochures nor directories provide.

A simple principle
I always separate two levels. The venues where I have worked, which I describe from the inside: the light, the sound, the distances. And well-regarded venues I have not filmed yet, whose published information I document, saying so clearly. Exhaustive directories are everywhere; what you rarely find is someone who will tell you why Mayenne granite is easier to film than the pale stone of a château, or why an echoing church can make your vows disappear from the edit.
This section grows every season. If you are marrying somewhere that is not listed yet, tell me about it: I will document it after your wedding.
Frequently asked questions
Why does a videographer document wedding venues?
+Because the venue shapes the film more than anything else. The nature of the stone changes the light on faces, water or trees give depth, isolation determines the sound quality of the speeches, and the rental duration sets the rhythm of the day. A videographer who knows a venue knows where to stand before even arriving.
Do these pages list every venue in each department?
+No, deliberately. I describe in detail only the venues I have actually filmed, because I can speak about them from the inside. Other estates are named without comment, or not named at all. I would rather keep a short, reliable page than add another directory.
Do you film weddings across France?
+Yes. Studio SB is based in Mayenne and travels throughout France, with scouting the day before on distant weddings. Wedding film packages start from €1,400.
