Wedding venues in Maine-et-Loire, seen by a videographer

A château wedding venue seen from the air
A reception estate seen from the air. Still from a Studio SB film.

Maine-et-Loire borders Mayenne to the south, and Anjou holds some of the finest estates in western France. I have not filmed there yet, but I travel there gladly: Angers is an hour from home. Here are three venues well regarded among suppliers in the region.

Three well-regarded venues in the department

These estates come up often among wedding suppliers, and the feedback about them is consistently positive. I have not worked there yet: I have documented what they publish and what a videographer takes from reading it, without pretending to know them from the inside.

Château de ChallainChallain-la-Potherie

A neo-Gothic château dedicated to destination weddings for more than twelve years: 23 suites, around thirty hectares of gardens, forest and a lake.

Château du Parc Saint-LambertSaint-Lambert-la-Potherie

A 19th-century Renaissance-inspired château and a Baltard-style orangery, more than 1,000 m² of reception space, fifteen minutes from Angers.

Les Logis de BeaulieuSoucelles

A former racehorse stable across 50 hectares of meadows, with horses on the estate, 15 km from Angers.

Other venues in the department

Maine-et-Loire has many other estates, châteaux and character farms. I do not list them here until I have worked there: I would rather keep a short, reliable page than add another directory. This section grows with every new wedding.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Studio SB is based in Mayenne and works regularly in Maine-et-Loire: Angers, Cholet, Saumur, Segré and the whole of Anjou. Wedding film packages start from €1,400, drone included when the venue and the weather allow.

Once capacity and price are set aside, three things weigh on the film: how many hours the venue is yours, which governs the tempo; the option to sleep on site, which prevents midnight departures; and the quiet of the surroundings, on which the speeches depend.

Yes, very concretely. Angevin tuffeau reflects a great deal and forces exposure to be rethought, wooded parks give shots several planes of depth, and distance from main roads decides whether the speeches will be usable. Hence these pages.
