Marion & Jean-François's wedding at the Manoir de la Jahotière
On 31 May 2025, Marion and Jean-François were married at the Manoir de la Jahotière, in Abbaretz, Loire-Atlantique. A hundred hectares of estate, a manor turned hotel, and a park remote enough that you hear nothing but the party.
Filming on a hundred-hectare estate
Most reception venues fit inside a garden. At La Jahotière the estate covers a hundred hectares, a former industrial then agricultural site now revived. In practice that means a couple's session can move through three or four completely different settings without ever getting in a car, and the drone has room to breathe.
That scale has a second, less visible but decisive effect: silence. No road nearby means voices and speeches captured cleanly, with no background noise to rescue in the edit. It is a comfort I mostly notice on the days it is missing.
Working four-handed with the photographer
The photographs that day were by Christophe Battifero. It is a point couples often underestimate: photographer and videographer work exactly the same moments, in the same place, at the same time.
When the two do not talk, each ends up in the other's frame and the couple get asked the same thing twice. When they coordinate, even briefly at the start of the day, positions fall into place on their own and the couple have only one team in front of them. That is time given back to them, and it shows in the result.
